How does Wisuron differ from CAD-based BOM tools?
CAD-based BOM tools read source files (for example DWG) and their attributes from a design system. Wisuron reads the material sent by the customer as-is: PDF engineering drawings, scanned lists and email attachments, without a CAD source file or pre-processing.
Does Wisuron calculate the price of a quote?
No. Wisuron is a quote calculation tool that produces the starting point for calculation, i.e. the breakdown. Pricing and the quote are done in your own systems. The breakdown is advisory and is reviewed before use.
Is Wisuron a quote calculation tool or quote calculation software?
A quote calculation tool. Wisuron extracts the data to be calculated: it itemises the products in a quote request into rows from which calculation begins. Quote calculation software in which the request, breakdown, calculation and quote are all in the same structure is Mantox's future vision (Global Movement).
