Today Wisuron is a quotation tool. This page explains what the target state is and what research our vision is based on.
Starting point
Products are standard. The data about them is not.
A steel beam is the same beam in every country. Yet every request for quotation is unique: one sends PDF drawings, another an Excel list, a third describes the products in the body of an email. The same information is copied manually from the request for quotation into the calculation template, from the calculation template into the quote, and from the quote into the order.
In a preliminary study in spring 2026 we asked 11 Finnish SME industrial companies, most of them machine shops, where manual work arises in the quotation process. Most of it arose from interpreting documents (45 %) and transferring data between systems (27 %). 64 % of respondents had noticed a document error too late. Document availability was not the problem; handling them was. Respondents also named the lack of a standardised way to compare different suppliers' quotes.
Why the standard must be built ourselves
The standard emerges at the receiving end.
Established standards for industrial procurement — UBL and PEPPOL, STEP and GS1 — are used in the ordering and invoicing stages and in public procurement. SME industry requests for quotation still travel by email and informal attachments, and SME senders will not adopt a new document format simply because a supplier requests it.
The conclusion of our summer 2026 research was the reverse of the original question: requests for quotation are not standardised at the sending end but at the receiving end. Diverse incoming material is normalised into a shared model as soon as it arrives. Senders are gradually offered easier structured channels. Integration with external standards comes as a conversion only when there is a need for it. A de facto standard emerges through use.
This is what Wisuron already does at the receiving end on the quoting side.
Vision
One data model, two sides.
Global Movement means a platform where the request for quotation, specification, quote and order are views of the same core model. The core is lightweight and mandatory: parties, line items and commercial terms. The technical extension — geometry, material and treatment — is optional but essential for automation. The model is named so that it can be mapped to existing standards.

The more suppliers use the same structure, the more useful it is for the buyer, and vice versa. The structure is the same regardless of language or country. That is why the name is Global Movement: the standardisation of the SME industry quotation process worldwide, one sector and one market at a time.
Trust before the platform
Data belongs to the one who produced it.
A two-sided platform handles third-party drawings and competitors' prices. That is why trust must be established before the platform. The principles of the vision:
- The material in a request for quotation, such as drawings, belongs to the buyer who sent it. Manufacturing data belongs to the manufacturer. The platform retains only a limited right to process it for the purpose of providing the service.
- An individual supplier's prices are not visible to competitors or to the platform operator. Market-level information is shared only in aggregated form, if shared at all.
- A party can export its data in machine-readable form, as required by the EU Data Act.
- Organisations are isolated from each other at the database level, and use of data is logged so that unauthorised use can be demonstrated.
Where we are now
Quoting side, Finland, specification.
The first step is in use. Wisuron reads incoming drawings, product lists and requests for quotation on the quoting side and normalises them into a shared specification structure. It is a quotation tool: the data to be calculated is extracted, while pricing and the quote are done in your own systems.
The path forward is described in the research but not scheduled: first the receiving end on the quoting side, then a structured channel offered to senders, and only then interoperability with external standards. In production, Wisuron is used in Finland, in surface treatment and steel structures. Tools for the requesting side, other countries or other languages are not in production. We will announce new capabilities only when they are in production.
Research basis
What this page is based on.
The content is based on a thesis project carried out at Savonia University of Applied Sciences in 2026: AI-based document automation in Finnish SME industry (Matias Putkonen, commissioned by Mantox Solutions Oy). It comprises the spring 2026 preliminary study, in which 11 SME industrial companies responded to a survey about document work in their quotation process, and the summer 2026 RDI project Standardisation of the document flow in industrial quotation calculation, whose sources included OASIS (UBL), OpenPeppol, ISO, GS1, the EU Data Act and Data Governance Act, and the IDSA and Gaia-X dataspace models. The research findings were reflected against the production version of Wisuron.

Is Wisuron quotation software?
Not today. Wisuron is a quotation tool that produces the input data for calculation: it extracts drawings, product lists and requests for quotation into an Excel specification. Pricing and the quote are done in your own systems. Quotation software in which the requesting and quoting sides use the same data model is Mantox's future vision.
What is Global Movement?
Mantox Solutions Oy's vision for the global standardisation of the SME industry quotation process: one shared data model in which the request for quotation, specification, quote and order are views of the same structure, and a platform on which the sender of a request for quotation and the supplier responding to it use that same structure regardless of company, country or language.
Why can't requests for quotation simply be standardised at the sender's end?

When will Global Movement be realised?
